Quoting software that writes CypCut LXD
Most quoting tools stop at a number. If your shop runs CypCut, the layout behind that number still has to be rebuilt somewhere before anything gets cut. Robocut exports the nest as an LXD sheet file, so the priced layout and the cut layout are the same layout.
Why the handover matters
A quote is only as good as the nest behind it. Sheet count, used area, scrap ratio, weight, cut length and pierce count all come from how the parts were arranged — and if that arrangement is thrown away after quoting, the shop pays for it twice: once rebuilding the nest, and again whenever the rebuilt one is worse than the priced one.
Robocut nests inside the product, prices from that nest, and then exports it. The LXD file is the old plain-XML sheet format, verified against CypCut 6.3.
What goes in and what comes out
Input is DXF or DWG for cutting. With the bending module, STEP or IGES models up to 15 MB are unfolded — bend count, angles and lengths are extracted, and the unfolded shape can be fed into the quote as ordinary cutting geometry. Vector PDF import is not supported.
Output is the quote PDF with the part list, scrap in kilograms and VAT as its own line, plus the LXD sheet file for CypCut. Pro-tier users of the separate individual nesting product get the same LXD export.
Where it runs
The system is hosted for you, on your own domain and under your own branding — setup, hosting, SSL and updates are included in the $199/month + VAT subscription. There is no commission on orders and no card processing: you collect from your customer your own way.
